Pair of PG Cougars ranked in the top 30 of NHL Central Scouting mid-term list

The dynamic duo of Riley Heidt and Koehn Ziemmer of the Prince George Cougars continue to catch the eye of NHL scouts ahead of this summer draft in Nashville.

According to the Central Scouting Mid-Term rankings, Ziemmer who has 52 points in 37 games is ranked 20th.

Heidt on the other hand is ranked 26th and also has 52 points on the season.

In addition, local product and Seattle Thunderbirds forward Nico Myatovic is the 47th-rated skater.

Other northern BC players who made the cut include McBride’s Tanner Molendyk of the Saskatoon Blades (36th), Fort St. John’s Ethan Seminuk of the Vancouver Giants (173rd), and PA Raiders blueliner Terrell Goldsmith of Fort Saint James (202nd).

In total 51 WHL players were named to the mid-term rankings list.
