PG RCMP bringing back its Coffee with a Cop event tomorrow

If you have ever wanted to know what it takes to become a police officer or how to best deal with a neighbour dispute, now is your chance to have your questions answered.

The Prince George RCMP is once again hosting its Coffee with a Cop event tomorrow (Tuesday) – a morning time at Ristretto Coffee House on Victoria Street will be followed by an afternoon session at the College Heights Tim Hortons.

Cpl. Jennifer Cooper spoke with Vista Radio.

“It’s a really good way for us as police officers to meet with people, and have a really great conversation. We provide the coffee, which helps things out as well, so if you swing by we will treat you to a coffee. There is quite a range of topics we are willing to discuss and whatever is on people’s minds we are happy to address.”

“We kind of want to meet people where they are from around the city and we want to work with different coffee houses and have this kind of event. We are very happy to be partnering with these two new places this time around.”

In the fall, the RCMP hosted its first installment of the event at Zoe’s Java House and the Open Door Cafe in the Hart.
