Police investigating attempted shooting between 39-year-old man and 16-year-old girl

A 39-year-old man has been arrested after shooting at a 16-year-old girl inside a residence on Quince Street, near 20th avenue.

Police say on Sunday (January 22) night at around 8:00 they attended the home after the 16-year-old escaped and called the police.

The girl told police she was inside the home when the man, Colby Johnson, pointed a gun at her and fired, barely missing.

Johnson, who had a lifetime firearm ban, was arrested from the residence and will remain in custody until a court date.

Inside the home, investigators found many other guns, a “large quantity of suspected fentanyl,” and over $8,000 cash.

Johnson has been charged with careless use of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

The victim was not injured, and the file is still under investigation.
