New airline seeing delays in getting off the ground

Plans to get a low-cost airline up in the air is continuing.

Canada Jetlines plans to be operational six months after getting its full funding.

President David Solloway says they need to get $50 million before they get going.

“With a planned Boeing 737 fleet of six aircraft in the first year,” says Solloway, “growing to 40 aircraft within eight years.”

Solloway says once they are operational they will be running flights in Western Canada.

The airline will be offering flights 30-40 percent less than what other airlines offer.
