Bottle drive fundraiser set up for orphaned PG toddler

An account has been set up at the Nechako Bottle Depot to support a recently orphaned two-year-old girl.

The girl’s single mother passed away on January 13th.

“We are raising money to help with costs and expenses that come with raising a two-year-old,” Nicole Kyte, a friend of the late mother and one of the drive organizers, told My PG Now.

“She is currently living with her grandparents who are living on a fixed income. Any proceeds will be going directly to helping with that.”

According to Chantelley Lace’s Facebook page, another bottle drive organizer, local restaurants like the Canadian Brewhouse, Montana’s, Red Robin’s and Aubrey’s Place have all donated bottles to the drive so far.

She told My PG Now that anyone who might need help delivering bottles can contact her.

The Nechako Bottle Depot account is number 911 and is under the name “baby diamond.”
