Prince George Spruce Kings  4  Trail Smoke Eaters  2  (Sunday)

With the win before 1,103 fans, the (20-14-2-1) Spruce Kings moved into 4th place in the 9-team Interior Division, a point ahead of Salmon Arm and three back of West Kelowna.

PG Spruce Kings  4  Trail Smoke Eaters  3  (OT Saturday)

Kilian McGregor-Bennett scored 14 seconds into overtime before 786 fans.

Trail Smoke Eaters  4  PG Spruce Kings  2  (Friday)

The Smoke Eaters built up period leads of 2-0 and 3-1 before 1,626 fans.

The Spruce Kings hit the road later in the week and will play at Cranbrook Friday, Trail Saturday, and Salmon Arm on Sunday.

Their next home games will be Feb 10th and 11th against Merritt.

WHL:

Prince Albert Raiders  4  Prince George Cougars  1  (Saturday)

Prince Albert broke a 1-1 tie with a pair of goals 2:15 apart late in the 2nd period.

Evan Herman scored twice for the Raiders, who went 2-for-6 on the power play before 5,101 fans at CN Centre.

The (19-21-4) Cougars continue a 5-game homestand Friday and Saturday against Victoria.

Prince George is tied with Vancouver for 2nd in the B.C. Division and 6th in the Western Conference, five points behind Everett and nine back of 4th place Tri-City.

The Americans are riding an 11-game point streak (8-0-3) after Sunday’s 3-2 victory over the Silvertips.

The (23-28) Toronto Raptors, who are 2-1 on a 7-game road trip, visit the Phoenix Suns tonight at 6:00.

City Council to discuss potential purchasing bylaw amendments

Prince George City Council will consider a notice of motion in regards to the disposal of assets at tomorrow's (Monday) meeting. The notice of motion was put forward by Councillors Cori Ramsay and Brian Skakun, and recommends that Council refers the City's purchasing bylaw to bring back options to better articulate section 5.3 of the bylaw. 

Nechako Valley claims PG Bowl win over College Heights

The Nechako Valley Secondary School Vikings are moving onto provincials following a 24-6 trouncing over College Heights in the PG Bowl. "The boys came to play, I'm super proud of them," said Nechako Valley Head Coach Sheldon Brown.
