Camping rules to be enforced this long weekend

Park patrols will be stepped up this Victoria Day long weekend.

Regional Manager Dave Banham with the Ministry of Forests and Lands on what enforcement officers will be looking for.

Banham says officers will also be looking to keep noise at an acceptable level and consumption of alcohol to campsites only.

He also asks campers to be bear aware and to keep food stored safely.

This weekend promises to be a busy one as the provincial government says campsite reservations are up 14 percent over last year.
