Prince George RCMP on the lookout for wanted person

UPDATE, MARCH 27, 2023: Turner is no longer wanted by the RCMP

The Prince George RCMP is requesting the public’s help in finding a wanted person.

Lucas Kenneth Richard Turner, 35 is wanted for two counts of theft under $5,000 and six counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Lucas Kenneth Richard Turner is described as:

  • Indigenous male
  • 176 cm or 5′ 9.5″
  • 64 kg or 141 lbs
  • Black Hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Tattoo of the words “Rest In Peace” near his right eye
  • Tattoos of two years and a cross near his right eye
  • Tattoo of the word “Turner” on his left forearm
  • Tattoo of the word “Saunder” on his right forearm
  • Multiple tattoos on his right hand.

Mounties say Lucas Kenneth Richard Turner should be considered violent.

If located, contact local police immediately.

Anyone with information on Lucas Kenneth Richard Turner or his whereabouts is asked to contact the Prince George RCMP.

City Council to discuss potential purchasing bylaw amendments

Prince George City Council will consider a notice of motion in regards to the disposal of assets at tomorrow's (Monday) meeting. The notice of motion was put forward by Councillors Cori Ramsay and Brian Skakun, and recommends that Council refers the City's purchasing bylaw to bring back options to better articulate section 5.3 of the bylaw.

The Nechako Valley Secondary School Vikings are moving onto provincials following a 24-6 trouncing over College Heights in the PG Bowl. "The boys came to play, I'm super proud of them," said Nechako Valley Head Coach Sheldon Brown. 

Spruce Kings pick up win over Salmon Arm

The Prince George Spruce Kings scored early and often in a 4-1 win over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. Dracen Campbell got the 1,009 fans at Kopar Memorial Arena in to the game early, opening the scoring for the Spruce Kings just 4:08 into the first.
