The 20-year-old Wheatcroft is riding a 13-game point streak.
He is 3rd in WHL scoring with 74 points in 50 games (34 goals) and one of three Cougars in the top six.

The (24-22-4) PG Cougars host the (34-13-3-1) Saskatoon Blades tonight (Tuesday).
The Cougars are coming off Saturday’s 5-4 loss in Kamloops, which ended their 5-game winning streak, where they outscored the opposition 33-8.

Prince George is 2nd in the B.C. Division and 6th in the Western Conference, just four points behind both Everett and Tri-City.
Saskatoon is 3rd in the 12-team Eastern Conference, four points behind Red Deer.

The Prince George Spruce Kings will play their next two games in Burns Lake.
The (22-16-3-1) Spruce Kings face the Salmon Arm Silverbacks Saturday night at 7:00 and Sunday at noon.
Prince George is 4th in the 9-team Interior Division, a point ahead of Salmon Arm.

The (15-14-1-2) Under-18 Cougars host the (23-3-4-2) Greater Vancouver Canadians Saturday night at 6:30 and Sunday morning at 11:00 at Kin 1.

The UNBC Timberwolves will compete in Canada West basketball play-in games.
The UNBC women play Fraser Valley Friday at 11 am (PT) in Edmonton and the UNBC men go against Regina Friday night at 5:00 in Victoria.
The play-in winners advance to the quarterfinals.
The Timberwolves finished 8-12 in both the women’s and men’s divisions.

The PGSS Polars play the College Heights Cougars in the senior girls’ and boys’ basketball finals tonight at UNBC.
