Big week earns Wheatcroft WHL Player of the Week honours

Things just seem to keep getting better for Prince George Cougars Forward Chase Wheatcroft.

The 20-year-old notched four goals and seven assists in four games last week, earning him the WHL’s Player of the Week honour.

He’s currently riding a 13-game point streak, with 11 goals and 15 assists.

The Calgary, AB product is currently tied for 3rd in WHL scoring with Zach Benson of the Winnipeg ICE with 74 points.

Wheatcroft is also the third PG Cougar to earn Player of the Week honours this year, following Koehn Ziemmer and Riley Heidt.

Wheatcroft and the PG Cougars will return to action tomorrow (Tuesday) night, when they host the Saskatoon Blades. (7:00)
