Chronic offender caught by Prince George RCMP after chase through the city

The RCMP arrested a chronic offender following a chase through the Prince George.

Just before midnight last night (Tuesday), officers on patrol noted an erratic driver of Fifth Avenue near Burden Street.

According to police, the white SUV actively began to avoid police after the officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

“After evading the police for several minutes across the city, police were able to successfully stop the vehicle on Tony Road near Helene Road, where the, identified as 38-year-old Bradley Arthur Denie Collier, was arrested and transported to the Prince George RCMP detachment here he was held for court.

The BC Prosecution Service has approved the following charges in the matter:

  • Fail to stop for police
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Resisting a police officer
  • Possession of a weapon or ammunition while prohibited.

The investigation is ongoing.

At last night's (Monday) meeting, City Council approved a budget of $750,000 for the purchase.  According to Director of Civic Operations Blake McIntosh, this will replace a garbage truck damaged in a motor vehicle incident in May last year.
