Canada Winter Games:
Prince George has nine athletes at the Canada Winter Games in PEI with four of them competing this week.
The B.C. male hockey team (which includes Ryder Green, Chase Harrington, and Cameron Schmidt of PG) finished 2-1 in Pool B: a 7-4 loss to Ontario was followed by a 12-2 victory over Nova Scotia and a 4-2 win over Alberta.
The B.C. wheelchair basketball team (which includes Joel Ewert of PG) is 2-0; outscoring Manitoba 66-26 and Ontario 72-36.
Next week, P.G. will be represented by Lilly McCullough, Hannah Yin, and Alandra Steiger in judo plus Mason Pollard in archery and Logan Cox in cross-country skiing.
