Tyler Brennan was the first star for the second consecutive game as he made 34 saves in the P.G. net as the Cougars completed the doubleheader sweep before 1,696 fans at CN Centre.
Portland outshot Prince George 35-32.
Brennan lost his bid for a second consecutive shutout with just 3:06 left in the 3rd period.

The (26-23-4) Cougars are 6th in the Western Conference but only one point behind Everett and three back of Tri-City.
The Cougars visit the Vancouver Giants on Friday and the Victoria Royals on Saturday.

BC Elite Hockey League: (BCEHL)
The (15-16-1-2) Under-18 Cariboo Cougars conclude their regular season this weekend.
They visit the (22-5-2-1) Okanagan Rockets Saturday night at 5:45 and Sunday morning at 8:00 in Kelowna.
Okanagan is 2nd and Cariboo is 6th in the 9-team division.

Canada Winter Games:
Liam Simons of Prince George earned the bronze medal in the men’s biathlon 10 kilometre pursuit at the Canada Winter Games in PEI.
The B.C. male hockey team (which includes Ryder Green, Chase Harrington, and Cameron Schmidt of PG) finished 2-1 in Pool B: a 7-4 loss to Ontario was followed by a 12-2 victory over Nova Scotia and a 4-2 win over Alberta.
The B.C. wheelchair basketball team (which includes Joel Ewert of PG) is 2-0; outscoring Manitoba 66-26 and Ontario 72-36.
