WHL:
The Prince George Cougars are on a mini two-game road trip.
The (26-23-4) Cougars visit the (21-26-4-2) Vancouver Giants tonight (Friday) at 7:30 and the (15-36-5-1) Victoria Royals Saturday night at 6:00.
Prince George is 6th in the Western Conference, just one point behind Everett and five back of 4th place Tri-City.
P.G. has 15 games left, Everett has 14 remaining and Tri-City has 13 to go.

BCHL:
The (23-16-4-1) Prince George Spruce Kings have a pair of home games this weekend.
The Spruce Kings entertain the (14-23-3-3) Powell River Kings tonight and the (39-3-0-1) Penticton Vees on Saturday.
Prince George is 4th in the 9-team Interior Division, a point behind West Kelowna with both teams having played 44 games.

The Canucks rallied by scoring with 29 seconds left in the third period and again at 4:45 of overtime.

BC Elite Hockey League: (BCEHL)
The (15-16-1-2) Under-18 Cariboo Cougars conclude their regular season this weekend in Kelowna.
They visit the (22-5-2-1) Okanagan Rockets Saturday night at 5:45 and Sunday morning at 8:00.
Okanagan is 2nd and Cariboo is 6th in the 9-team division.

Canada Winter Games:
Cameron Schmidt of Prince George scored twice and set up another to lead the B.C. male hockey team to a 4-2 victory Thursday over Manitoba at the Canada Winter Games in PEI.
Ryder Green of Prince George picked up the win in net with 37 saves.
B.C. will play Ontario tonight in the semifinal with the winner to go for gold on Saturday.
Chase Harrington is the third player from P.G. on the B.C. team.
In other competitions:
The B.C. wheelchair basketball team (which includes Joel Ewert of PG) went 3-0 in the round-robin to advance to the semifinals today.
Liam Simons of Prince George, who earned the bronze medal in the men’s biathlon 10 km pursuit, ended up 10th in the 12.5 km individual race.
Jessabelle Trelenberg of Williams Lake earned the silver medal in the biathlon 10k female individual.

Three-time defending champion Kerri Einarson finished a perfect 8-0 in pool play at the Canadian women’s curling championship in Kamloops.
The six-team playoff round starts today following a pair of tie-breakers including (5-3) B.C. against (5-3) Quebec.
