Spruce Kings fall to Powell River in clash of Kings

The Prince George Spruce Kings started out their weekend with a 4-1 loss to the Powell River Kings last night (Friday).

After a scoreless first, Powell River jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second.

Spruce Kings starter Jordan Fairlie was pulled in the second intermission, after allowing three goals on eleven shots in the second period.

Aiden Feddema came in to replace Fairlie, and allowed one goal on seven shots.

Ben LeFranc scored the lone Spruce Kings goal in front of the 1,061 fans at the Kopar Memorial Arena.

The Spruce Kings (23-17-4-1) sit fifth in the BCHL’s Interior Division, and are tied with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks (23-16-4-1) for points.

The Spruce Kings will finish their weekend with a Saturday night matchup against the Penticton Vees. (40-3-0-1)
