Spruce Kings make March Fan Appreciation Month

This weekend is all for the fans in the Kopar Memorial Arena.

The Spruce Kings will be hosting the Vernon Vipers for a doubleheader where fans can get in for just $10.

“We’ve seen an average of 1,045 fans at our nine home games since the Christmas Break, and we expect to have large crowds all the way through the end of the season,” said Business Operations Manager Kyle Anderson.

“Through the support of our partners and fans, we have seen a spike in attendance this season, and we wanted to show our appreciation for that.”

They also teased that there will be an “exciting announcement” about the regular season home closing weekend on March 17th and 18th – also billed as fan appreciation nights.

The Spruce Kings are currently sitting in 5th (23-18-4-1, 51 point) in the Interior division standings with eight games remaining in the regular season.

The standings are anything but set, they are just three points ahead of 7th place Vernon (21-19-2-4, 48 points) and five points behind third place West Kelowna (26-16-4-0, 56 points).

The puck drops tonight (Friday) and tomorrow at 7:00.
