WHL:

The (35-24-6-1) Prince George Cougars conclude their regular season with a home-and-home against the (47-11-4-2) Blazers; Friday in Kamloops and Saturday in P.G.

The Blazers have won nine straight and 19 of their last 20.

The Cougars are riding a 9-game point streak (6-0-2-1).

The Cougars will play the (32-26-5-3) Tri-City Americans in the first round of the WHL playoffs beginning Friday, March 31st at CN Centre.

It will be a 2-3-2 format with tickets going on sale today (Tuesday) in Prince George.

The (26-20-5-1) Prince George Spruce Kings close out their regular season with a doubleheader against the (35-13-1-3) Bucks in Cranbrook on Friday and Saturday.

Prince George is 5th in the 9-team Interior Division, however, the Spruce Kings are tied in points with 4th place West Kelowna and 6th place Vernon.

P.G. is also two points behind third-place Salmon Arm.

Cranbrook has clinched second behind the (47-3-0-1) Penticton Vees.

The (31-33-5) Vancouver Canucks, with just 13 games left, host the (43-21-6) Vegas Golden Knights tonight (Tuesday) at 7:00.

The Canucks have won seven of their last eight games.

The Golden Knights are first in the Western Conference.

Minor Hockey:

The B.C. minor hockey championships are taking place this week in various cities and communities around the province, including the Under-13 Tier 2 in Prince George.

World Women’s Curling Championship: (in Sweden)

(13-country round-robin)

Canada, represented by the Kerri Einarson team, has a 5-2 record following a 7-6 loss to Switzerland and a 10-4 victory over New Zealand today (Tuesday).

Switzerland is the only unbeaten team at 6-0.

Einarson captured the bronze medal at last year’s world championship in Prince George.

The (35-37) Toronto Raptors, with just 10 games left, begin a 4-game homestand Wednesday night (4:30 PT) against the (32-40) Indiana Pacers.

The Raptors are 9th in the Eastern Conference.
