The community connection coordinator with the Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society in Prince George picked up a BC Multicultural and Anti-Racism award.
Karelya Medialdea was one of two people recognized in the Intercultural Trust category during an awards ceremony in Vancouver last night (Tuesday).
In total, five award winners and six honourable mentions were recognized.
Since 2008, the BC Multicultural and Anti-Racism Awards have recognized 50 individuals and organizations.
