Tyler Brennan made 43 saves to lead the Cougars, who were outshot 45-17, including 6-0 in overtime in front of a sold-out CN Centre crowd of 5,880.
Koehn Ziemmer and Chase Wheatcroft scored in the shootout which was won by P.G. 2-0.
Hudson Thornton tallied in the second period, his 23rd goal of the season, which is a new PG Cougars record for most goals in a season by a defenceman.

World Women’s Curling Championship: (in Sweden)
Bronze Medal game

This was a rematch of last year’s bronze medal in Prince George that was won by Einarson and her team from Gimli, Manitoba 8-7 in an extra end.
Einarson along with third Val Sweeting, second Shannon Birchard, lead Briane Harris, alternate Krysten Karwacki and coach Reid Carruthers finished the round-robin with a 7-5 record.
The 4-time reigning Canadian champions beat Japan’s Satsuki Fujisawa 6-4 in the qualification round and lost to Norway’s Marianne Roervik 8-5 in the semifinals.
