Help needed for Canada Day celebrations

Those wanting to help out on Canada Day are being sought.

The Multicultural Heritage Society is looking for helpers for celebrations at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park.

Executive Director Marlies Gruelich says they could always use a few extra hands.

“The main thing we`re looking at right now is that we have lots of fun gifts this year because of the 100th Anniversary celebrations,“ says Gruelich, “so we have some extra flags from the city and we have some pins, and we like some help to distribute them in the park.“

Greulich says those interested can come down to the Multicultural Heritage Society Office on 5th Ave and Dominion.

She says this year’s celebration will begin on Wednesday at 11 am.
