Two out of 88 people surveyed believe downtown Prince George is “Very Clean.”
This finding was presented to City Council on Monday by Coeuraj, a consultancy firm that helped develop the Prince George Cleanliness and Inclusion Evaluation Framework.
The report was designed to give “a set of baseline data” for future reference, not a “full comprehensive assessment and evaluation,” according to Coeuraj’s Dani Prapavessis.
Other findings from the report surrounded bylaw officers, safety, and belonging.
The most split poll was surrounding bylaw officers. 15 people said bylaw patrol “greatly” enhances the feeling of safety downtown, while 13 said not at all.
Most people polled said they feel moderately to somewhat safe in downtown PG, with more people saying “slightly safe” and “not safe” than “very safe.”
Most people felt slight to high levels of belonging and connectedness in downtown.
