PG RCMP make pair of arrests in connection with identity theft investigation

A 43-year-old Prince George woman was one of two people arrested in relation to an identity theft investigation.

According to the RCMP, the North District Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a home along the 6600 block of Westmount Drive on March 31st.

Vanessa Leona Clark was charged with identity fraud and possession of an identity document along with other offenses. The second suspect was later released from custody.

This is the second time in two months police have visited this home.

Back in February, police obtained a large quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia – one person was arrested and later released.

“Police utilized the Emergency Response Team in both instances based on a number of identified risk factors. The Emergency Response Team is trained to help mitigate the risk to both public and police safety in situations where we believe there to be an increased potential for violence,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

Both files remain under investigation.
