Man arrested for shooting at local gas station

A man has been arrested for shooting out of the window of his vehicle at a gas station on the 2500-block of Range Road.

Police say it happened on Friday (April 7) night just before 10:00, when they responded to a shots fired report.

Witnesses told police the man had caused a scene inside the store, including getting into a physical fight with a customer, before leaving.

Then, according to witnesses, the man returned to gas station shortly after in a white four-door car, where he pointed a gun out the window and shot at the gas station multiple times.

“Within an hour of the initial 9-1-1 call, investigators located and arrested the suspect at a nearby residence. It should be noted that this incident occurred while the search for a violent offender was ongoing,” said Corporal Jenn Cooper. “Despite both of these complex investigations happening simultaneously, our officers were successful in arresting both suspects that night,”

The suspect was not named, and has been released back into the community on an undertaking with a future court date.
