Theatre Northwest set to debut latest show

Theatre NorthWest is bringing a taste of rural Ontario to Prince George with its latest production.

The theatre’s latest play, “Where You Are” was written by Kristen Da Silva.

“It’s about two sisters who live on Manitoulin Island, and then one of their adult daughters comes home, and they all are carrying some secrets that are yet to be revealed,” said Director Melissa Glover.

“We throw in an attractive veterinarian neighbour called Patrick who kind of shakes things up a bit there.”

Glover calls the play a ‘quintessential Canadian Comedy.’

Theatre Northwest has built an impressive set for the play, which took about two weeks.

“We we’re talking about this design, and looking at designs on Manitoulin Island, and talking about what would their house look like, because they’ve been there for quite a few years,” Glover added.

The play will open on May 4th and run until May 27th.
