UNBC MBB add swingman from the Okanagan

It’s not even May yet and the UNBC Timberwolves men’s basketball team added more skill to its roster for the upcoming year, inking West Kelowna product Drew Williams.

Standing six-foot-four, Williams can play as a shooting guard, small forward, and projects as a power forward at the U-SPORTS level.

The BC Summer Games gold medalist played his high school basketball at Mount Boucherie Secondary for coach Michael Williams, where he averaged 24 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists per game for the Bears.

“I love basketball because it has always been an escape for me and taught me so many lessons on and off the court. It has helped me build lifelong friendships,” added Williams.

Upon graduation from MBSS last year, Williams joined Canada Topflight Academy West, one of the country’s premier prep programs based in Calgary.

He will enroll in UNBC’s business program, and join his new teammates for training camp in August.
