The Prince George RCMP arrested an impaired motorcyclist travelling into town on Highway 16 East in the early evening last night (Monday).
Just after 6:00, police received a report of a motorcycle driving well below the speed limit and swerving in its lane.
“The investigation led police officers to a residence on the 2900-block of Highway 16 East where they located the suspect, who was found to be unlicensed. During the subsequent arrest of the suspect, one of the police officers was assaulted,” said Cpl. Jennifer Cooper.
The officer was not seriously hurt, and the driver was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
