The Thunderbirds won the series 4-2 to repeat as Western Conference champions.

Nico Myatovic of Prince George notched one assist for Seattle.

The Thunderbirds will play the Eastern Conference champion Winnipeg Ice in the best-of-7 league final which will start Friday in Winnipeg.

NHL Draft Lottery:

The Chicago Blackhawks won the NHL Draft Lottery which gives them the first overall pick and the chance to select top prospect Connor Bedard of the Regina Pats.

The Blackhawks had an 11.5 % chance of winning the lottery after finishing with the third-worst record in the NHL.

Bedard racked up 143 points, including 71 goals, in just 57 games.

The Anaheim Ducks received the second pick followed by Columbus, San Jose and Montreal.

The Vancouver Canucks have the 11th overall pick.

The Draft will be held in Nashville on June 28th and 29th.

 

NHL: (3rd game in the best-of-7 Western Conference semifinal)

Vegas Golden Knights  5  Edmonton Oilers  1

The Golden Knights broke a 1-1 tie by scoring in the final minute of the first period and adding three more goals in the second.

Vegas leads 2-1 with Game 4 Wednesday night at 7:00 (PT) in Edmonton.

There are a pair of Stanley Cup playoff games tonight (Tuesday): Carolina at New Jersey (4:00 PT) and Dallas at Seattle (6:30).

The Hurricanes and Kraken both lead their Conference semifinal 2-1.

The Toronto Maple Leafs season will be on the line when they visit the Florida Panthers Wednesday (4:00). The Panthers, riding a six-game winning streak, hold a commanding 3-0 lead. Odds are stacked against the Maple Leafs as teams trailing 3-0 in an NHL series are just 4-197.

The Lakers lead 3-1 with Game 5 Wednesday night at 7:00 in San Francisco.

Heat ahead 3-1 with Game 5 Wednesday (4:30 PT) in New York.

There are two NBA playoff games tonight (Tuesday): Philadelphia at Boston (4:30 PT) and Phoenix at Denver (7:00). Both of those series are tied 2-2.

The (21-14) Toronto Blue Jays are 3-4 on a 9-game road trip which will continue today (Tuesday 3:40 PM PT) against the (16-19) Phillies in Philadelphia.
