The Canadian Homebuilders Association of Northern BC is hosting the 3rd annual Awards of Excellence.
It is taking place tomorrow night (Saturday) at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel.
Executive Officer, Terri McConnachie told MyPGNow.com they have well over 100 entries slotted into 20 different categories.
“We are going to unveil or roll out who has the best new home, the best renovation and design and there are categories for best kitchen and bathroom.”
She added a lot of impressive structures are being built right here in the north.
“There are some amazing projects on deck. I have had a sneak peek as to who the winners are and we are building some beautiful homes here in our region.”
McConnachie stated this is their second biggest event of the year, next to the popular Home and Garden Show.
“It’s always great for builders and contractors and those in the home building community to get together. We have a day of education, we have a housing tour Saturday morning, and then, of course, the housing awards so I am really looking forward to hosting members of this pivotal and dynamic industry.”
Some of the major awards include Renovator of the Year and Builder of the Year.
In addition, the “Supplier or Sub-Trade of the Year”, as voted by member builders will also be announced and the “Golden Hammer Award” will be presented to Joe Hart, founder of Icon Homes Ltd. in Quesnel.
