WHL:  

The WHL is holding its Prospects Draft today (Thursday).

The Prince George Cougars, with the 15th overall pick, selected defenceman Carson Carels from Manitoba.

On Wednesday, the PG Cougars made two selections in the 2023 US Priority Draft.

With the 15th pick, the Cougars selected Cottage Grove, Minnesota defenceman Phoenix Cahill.

With the 37th pick, the Cougars drafted Los Angeles, California forward Broden Scissors.

The WHL Final begins with games in Winnipeg Friday and Saturday as the Seattle Thunderbirds visit the Ice.

It will be a 2-3-2 format with games in Kent, Washington May 16th, 17th and if needed the 19th.

NHL: (4th games in the best-of-7 Conference semifinals)

Edmonton  4  Vegas  1

The series is tied 2-2 with Game 5 Friday night at 7:00 in Vegas.

Toronto  2  Florida  1

The Panthers lead 3-1 with Game 5 Friday (4:00 PT) in Toronto.

There are a pair of Stanley Cup playoff games tonight (Thursday): New Jersey at Carolina
(4:00 PT) followed by Seattle at Dallas (6:30). The Hurricanes lead the Devils 3-1 while the Kraken and Stars are tied 2-2.

NBA: (5th games in the best-of-7 Conference semifinals)

Golden State  121  LA Lakers  106

The Lakers lead 3-2 with Game 6 Friday night at 7:00 in LA.

New York  112  Miami  103

The Heat lead 3-2 with Game 6 Friday (4:30 PT) in New York.

There are two NBA playoff games tonight (Thursday): Boston at Philadelphia (4:30 PT) and Denver at Phoenix (7:00). The 76ers and Nuggets both lead their series 3-2.

Major League Baseball:

Philadelphia Phillies  2  Toronto Blue Jays  1  (10)

The (21-16) Blue Jays finished 3-6 on a 9-game road trip.

Toronto will start a 10-game homestand Friday (4:07 PM PT) against the (25-12) Atlanta Braves.
