Camosun College partners with PGSS

A new dual credit program between Prince George Secondary School and Camosun College has been given the green light.

Student have the option to take professional cooking from the college and still get high school credit.

The program will have a mix of in-kitchen and online learning.

“Each afternoon, (the students) will be logging on to an e-theory with kids from around the province,” says Principal Lee Karpenko, “So, let’s say they’re learning about soups and sauces. They’ll study for a week, and then make the soups and sauces.”

Students will do afternoon work on their own time via video conference.

Students will receive college and high school credit for the course, but it will only be offered at PGSS.
