Advance voting dates and poll locations set for SD57 by-election

Two of ten candidates will be elected to SD57’s board of trustees next month.

General voting day will be Saturday, June 17 from 8:00 – 8:00.

You can vote at:

• Glenview Elementary School, 7310 Cluff Rd, Prince George, B.C. V2K 2M3
• Heritage Elementary School, 257 Anderson St, Prince George, B.C. V2M 6C1
• Malaspina Elementary School, 7900 Malaspina Blvd, Prince George, B.C, V2N 4A9
• Pineview Elementary School, 8515 Old Cariboo Hwy, Prince George, B.C. V2N 5V2
• Van Bien Training Centre, 311 Wilson Crescent, Prince George, B.C. V2L 4P8

Advanced voting will be available at the school board office on Wednesday, June 7 and Tuesday, June 13.

You will need two valid pieces of ID in order to vote.

People can also vote by mail if they choose, you need to request a mail in package online.

City Council to discuss potential purchasing bylaw amendments

Prince George City Council will consider a notice of motion in regards to the disposal of assets at tomorrow's (Monday) meeting. The notice of motion was put forward by Councillors Cori Ramsay and Brian Skakun, and recommends that Council refers the City's purchasing bylaw to bring back options to better articulate section 5.3 of the bylaw. 

Nechako Valley claims PG Bowl win over College Heights

The Nechako Valley Secondary School Vikings are moving onto provincials following a 24-6 trouncing over College Heights in the PG Bowl. "The boys came to play, I'm super proud of them," said Nechako Valley Head Coach Sheldon Brown.
