NHL: (3rd game in the best-of-7 Eastern Conference Final)

Florida Panthers  1  Carolina Hurricanes  0

Sergei Bobrovsky made 32 saves for the shutout as the Panthers grabbed a 3-0 lead and they will go for a sweep in Game 4 Wednesday night (5:00 PT) in Florida.

Out of the last 110 shots he’s faced in this series, Bobrovsky has stopped 109.

The NHL Western Conference Final shifts to Dallas tonight (Tuesday at 5:00) with the Vegas Golden Knights ahead of the Stars 2-0. Both Vegas wins came on home ice in overtime.

CHL:

The Memorial Cup will start Friday night at 6:00 in Kamloops with the Blazers up against the Quebec Remparts.

The Seattle Thunderbirds open up on Saturday against the Peterborough Petes.

The Thunderbirds won the WHL title in five games while the Petes took the OHL championship in six games and the Remparts captured the QMJHL title in six games.

Nico Myatovic of Prince George had the game-winning goal on a penalty shot in Seattle’s 3-1 Friday victory over Winnipeg that ended the series.

The (25-23) Jays have lost five straight and seven of their last eight.

Toronto continues a 7-game road trip today in Tampa (3:40 PM PT).

Despite a winning record, the Jays are in last place in the A.L. East.

NBA: (4th game in the best-of-7 Western Conference Final)

Denver Nuggets  113  LA Lakers  111

The Nuggets swept the series 4-0 to advance to the NBA Championship Series for the first time in their 46-year history.

The NBA Eastern Final resumes tonight (Tuesday at 5:30) in Miami as the Heat, up 3-0, go for a sweep over the Boston Celtics.
