New recycle bins spread out across Vanderhoof

Vanderhoof is doing its part to Recycle.

As 8 new beverage recycling bins are going up around town.

This is thanks to the Nechako Waste Management Initiative in conjunction with Integris Credit Unions Community foundation.

Vince Terstappen is a Sustainability coordinator, and says recycling is often overlooked:

“Sometimes when people are out and about with a drink container of some sort, they see a garbage bin and convenience sometimes takes over and they end up in the garbage bins. But now that there is that recycling option, we find that if you give people the option they tend to use it”

A full list of bin locations can be found at NechakoWRI.ca.
