Memorial Cup: (in Kamloops)

A great start for Nico Myatovic of Prince George at the Memorial Cup.

Myatovic assisted on two goals, including the game-winner for the Seattle Thunderbirds in a 6-3 victory Saturday over the Peterborough Petes.

The Thunderbirds will play their second game in the four-team tournament tonight (Monday) at 6:00 against the Quebec Remparts.

Quebec is also 1-0 after winning the tournament opener on Friday 8-3 over the host Kamloops Blazers.

The Blazers are 1-1 as they whipped Peterborough 10-2 on Sunday.

It is the 28th IIHF World Championship gold for Canada and the second in three years.

NHL: 

Game 6 in the NHL Western Conference Final will be played tonight (Monday 5:00 PT) in Dallas with the Vegas Golden Knights ahead of the Stars 3-2.

At one point in the series, the Stars trailed 3-0 but they won 3-2 in overtime Thursday in Dallas and 4-2 on Saturday in Vegas.

The series winner will battle the Eastern Conference champion Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Final.

The Panthers have won 11 of their last 12 games.

NBA: 

The Boston Celtics host the Miami Heat tonight (5:30 PT) in the 7th and deciding game of the Eastern Conference Final.

The Celtics are trying to become the first NBA team to win a series after trailing 3-0.

Boston got a last-second bucket on Saturday in Miami to edge the Heat 104-103 to tie the series 3-3.

The winner will face the Western Conference champion Denver Nuggets in the championship series starting on Thursday.

Major League Baseball:

Toronto Blue Jays  3  Minnesota Twins  0

The (28-26) Jays finished 3-4 on a 7-game road trip.

Toronto will host the (28-25) Milwaukee Brewers in a 3-game series starting Tuesday (4:07 PM PT).
