It was the first tiebreaker game at the Memorial Cup that was decided in overtime.
Peterborough was outshot 47-30 but erased a 4-1 second-period deficit and got the winning goal at 10:54 of overtime.

The Petes advance to the semifinal game tonight (Friday) at 7:00 against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
The winner will play the Québec Remparts in Sunday’s 4 PM final.

Game 1 in the Stanley Cup Final will be played Saturday night (5:00 PT) in Vegas with the Golden Knights home against the Florida Panthers.
The Panthers, who have not played since Wednesday, May 24th, have won 11 of their last 12 games.

Nikola Jokic got a triple-double (27 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds) in his finals debut and Canadian Jamal Murray scored 26 points for the Nuggets who improved to 9-0 on home court in the playoffs.
Denver has won seven straight overall and will host Game 2 Sunday night at 5:00 (PT).
Game 1 winners in the finals go on to win the title nearly 70% of the time.
