PG RCMP executes large drug bust involving minors

The Prince George RCMP have announced their second large seizure of drugs within the week.

According to police, on Friday (May 26) their Street Crew Unit executed a search warrant on the 1200 block of Central Street East.

They seized an estimated kilogram and a half of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine from the home.

Two underaged boys were arrested in the search, one 17, the other 14.

The boys are from the lower mainland and are known to the police. They were later released to the Ministry of Children and Family Development with court dates.

They are part of a concerning trend, RCMP said recently, youth are being targeted and recruited by gangs to “commit offenses on behalf of their organizations.”

On Wednesday, police announced another drug bust executed in the Hart.
