Memorial Cup: (Championship game in Kamloops)

Québec Remparts  5  Seattle Thunderbirds  0

The national champion Remparts scored once in both the first and second periods and poured it on with three unanswered goals in the third, outshooting the Thunderbirds 35-32.

The Remparts, coached by Patrick Roy, captured their first Memorial Cup title in 17 years and third overall.

Nico Myatovic of Prince George finished the Memorial Cup tournament with four points (1 goal and 3 assists) in five games for Seattle.

NHL:

Game 2 in the Stanley Cup Final will be played tonight (Monday 5:00 PT) in Vegas with the Golden Knights home against the Florida Panthers.

Vegas won the opener 5-2 on Saturday scoring three unanswered goals in the third period.

The series will shift to Florida for Game 3 on Thursday.

NBA: (Second game in the best-of-7 championship series)

Miami Heat  111  Denver Nuggets  108

The series is tied 1-1 with Game 3 Wednesday night (5:30 PT) in Miami.

The loss ended the Nuggets’ 7-game win streak and 9-game home playoff win streak.

Major League Baseball:

Toronto Blue Jays  6  New York Mets  4

The Jays swept the three-game series in New York and have won four straight and six of their last seven.

Toronto is 33-27 after 60 games and 4th in the A.L. East.

The Blue Jays start a 7-game homestand tonight (Monday 4:07 PT) against the (35-24) Houston Astros.
