Myatovic and Thunderbirds season ends with loss in Memorial Cup Final

The Seattle Thunderbirds had a great season but not a great result in their final game.

The Québec Remparts blanked the WHL champions 5-0 in the Memorial Cup Final which was played Sunday in Kamloops.

The Patrick Roy coached Remparts won their first Memorial Cup title in 17 years and third overall.

It was the first time the Thunderbirds played in the national final.

18-year-old winger Nico Myatovic of Prince George finished the tournament with a goal and three assists in five games for Seattle.

He was not on the ice for any of the five Québec goals.
