Prince George Transit riders won’t have to pay to ride the bus for one day this week.
That’s because BC Transit and the City will be taking part in Clean Air Day on Wednesday. Bus rides will be free all day for passengers on all routes and for handyDART customers.
The Government of Canada declared Clean Air Day in 1999 as part of Canadian Environment Week.
The goal is to raise awareness about air quality and climate change, as well as inspire people to consider changing habits in an effort to decrease their individual greenhouse gas emissions.
