The Caledonia Nordic Ski Club is hosting the Para Biathlon World Championships and the Para Nordic World Cup Finals in 2024.

The club has announced John Aalberg will be Chief of Competitions for both events.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome John Aalberg as our Chief of Competition for our two world events happening in March of 2024. John is one of the best in the world for organizing and officiating top-level Nordic events and it’s an honour to welcome him to our team in Prince George to work alongside and inspire our local officials and next generation,” Kevin Pettersen, Chair of the local organizing committee, said in a release.

According to the club, Aalberg has “long experience in designing, managing, organizing and operating large international Nordic sport venues and events.”

This includes two Olympic and Para Nordic venues, and work in Canada, the US, and Norway.

“I have been so fortunate to work throughout the world designing, managing, organizing and operating large international Nordic Sport-venues and events. During my time as a jury member for the 2019 WPNSC I was extremely impressed by the level of competition that was delivered in Prince George, the incredible venue and the team that was behind it and I am looking forward to playing more of an integral role,” said Aalberg.
