NBA:

Denver Nuggets  94  Miami Heat  89

It took 47 years but the Nuggets are NBA champions for the first time, defeating the Heat four games to one to capture the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.

Finals MVP Nikola Jokic scored 19 of his 28 points in the second half to go with 16 rebounds and four assists.

Jamal Murray added 14 points, eight assists and eight rebounds to become the 9th Canadian to win an NBA title.

NHL:

The Stanley Cup will be in the building.

The Vegas Golden Knights can celebrate in front of their own fans with a victory tonight (5:15 PT) over the visiting Florida Panthers.

Vegas has a 3-1 series lead.

Teams leading the Stanley Cup Final 3-1 have gone on to win 36 of 37 times (97 %).
