UNBC Timberwolves:
The Canada West basketball schedule is out for the 2023-24 season.
The UNBC Timberwolves will play 20 games in both the men’s and women’s divisions starting with a home doubleheader against the Fraser Valley Cascades on November 3rd and 4th.
The Timberwolves will end their regular season when they host the Saskatchewan Huskies on February 9th and 10th.

PG Cougars:
The Prince George Cougars have signed defenceman Dermot Johnston (‘08) to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Johnston was the Cougars’ 43rd overall selection in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.

Golf:
Wyndham Clark has his first career major, winning the 123rd U.S. Open at the Los Angeles Country Club.
The 29-year-old from Denver finished at 10-under-270, one shot better than Rory McIlroy.
Top Canadian Mackenzie Hughes tied for 49th at 6-over.

It was the first game of the season for the Argos while the Ti-Cats slipped to 0-2.
The (2-0) B.C. Lions visit the (2-0) Winnipeg Blue Bombers Thursday night (5:30 PT) to begin Week 3.
The Lions are coming off Saturday’s 22-0 victory over Edmonton in their home opener before 33,103 fans.
This was the Lions’ third shutout in their 69-year history and the first in 46 years since 1977.

The Canadian men’s soccer team lost 2-0 to the U.S. in Sunday’s CONCACAF Nations League final.
The 47th-ranked Canadian men were looking for their first tournament win since the 2000 Gold Cup.
