Major League Baseball:

Toronto Blue Jays  6  Miami Marlins  3  (Today-Wednesday)

Toronto Blue Jays  2  Miami Marlins  0  (Tuesday)

The (41-35) Blue Jays finished 4-5 on a 9-game road trip after taking 2 of 3 against the Marlins.

Toronto will start a 9-game homestand Friday (4:07 PM PT) against the Oakland A’s.

UNBC Timberwolves:

The UNBC Timberwolves men’s basketball team has signed six-foot-seven forward Patrick Freeman who is from New Zealand.

Freeman competed in the New Zealand Under-19 National Championship, where he was the tournament’s top scorer, averaging just over 29 points and 10 rebounds per game.

The Canada West basketball schedule is out for the 2023-24 season.

The UNBC Timberwolves will play 20 games in both the men’s and women’s divisions starting with a home doubleheader against the Fraser Valley Cascades on November 3rd and 4th.

The Timberwolves will end their regular season when they host the Saskatchewan Huskies on February 9th and 10th.

 

PG Cougars:

The Prince George Cougars have signed defenceman Drew Peterson (‘06) to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Peterson was selected 164th overall by the Cougars in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.

The next league game will go tonight (Wednesday) at 8:00 at Kin 1 featuring the PG Bandits against Quesnel.

 

CFL:

Week 3 of the CFL season starts Thursday night (5:30 PT) with the (2-0) B.C. Lions at the (2-0) Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
