PG Kodiaks Football:

The Prince George Kodiaks of the BC Football Conference have added Adrien Kellman to its staff.

Kellman will join the defensive coaching staff and assist with sponsorships and marketing.

He will work under Kodiaks Head Coach Jamie Boreham, a teammate of Kellman’s at the University of Manitoba.

After University, Kellman played professional football in Europe.

The Kodiaks open their 2023 season on July 29th, hosting the defending Canadian Bowl champions, the Okanagan Sun at Masich Place Stadium.

 

CFL:

It’s an early first-place showdown in the CFL West.

Week 3 of the season starts tonight (Thursday 5:30 PT) with the (2-0) B.C. Lions at the (2-0) Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

WHL:

The WHL announced following the conclusion of its AGM that Ron Robison will be departing as league Commissioner following the 2023-24 season.

He will leave as the longest-serving Commissioner after 24 years.

Hockey Hall of Fame:

The Hockey Hall of Fame has announced the 2023 inductees. Goaltenders Henrik Lundqvist, Tom Barrasso and Mike Vernon will be joined by Caroline Ouellette and Pierre Turgeon, as well as Ken Hitchcock and Pierre Lacroix in the builder’s category.

 

Major League Baseball:

Toronto Blue Jays  6  Miami Marlins  3 

The (41-35) Blue Jays finished 4-5 on a 9-game road trip after taking 2 of 3 against the Marlins.

Toronto will start a 9-game homestand Friday (4:07 PM PT) against the Oakland A’s.
