B.C. Lions 30 Winnipeg Blue Bombers 6
Vernon Adams Jr. threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns for the 3-0 Lions, who have outscored their opposition by a total of 77-21.
The Blue Bombers fell to 2-1 as they lost at home to a West Division team for the first time in nearly five years (Sept 8, 2018).
Week 3 of the season continues tonight (Friday 4:30 PT) with (1-0) Montreal at (0-2) Hamilton.

Hockey:
The Washington Capitals have hired Mitch Love of Quesnel as an assistant coach.
He will work under new Caps head coach Spencer Carbery.
The 39-year-old Love spent the previous two seasons as the head coach of the Calgary Flames AHL affiliate, the Calgary Wranglers (2022-23) and Stockton Heat (2021-22).
The Washington Capitals have named Mitch Love as an assistant coach.
Love, who will primarily work with the Capitals’ defensemen, will join assistant coach Scott Allen and goaltending coach Scott Murray on head coach Spencer Carbery’s staff.#ALLCAPS

Former Vancouver Canucks head coach Travis Green has been named Associate Coach of the New Jersey Devils. Green spent 4 1/2 years as the Canucks coach before he was let go during the 2021-22 season.

NBA:
The San Antonio Spurs selected 7-foot-4 Victor Wembanyama with the first overall pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft.
Many scouts have referred to the 19-year-old from France as the best prospect since LeBron James came out of high school 20 years ago in 2003.
The Toronto Raptors, with the 13th overall pick, selected 19-year-old Kansas Jayhawks freshman Gradey Dick.
The six-foot-eight, 205-pound guard shot 40.3 per cent from three-point range with Kansas.
