Hockey season is still three months away, but fans of the Prince George Spruce Kings can start filling up their calendars.
Today (Friday), the BCHL unveiled its regular season schedule, with each team playing 54 games in 2023-24.
PG will begin its season on the road September 23rd in Salmon Arm against the Silverbacks from the Shaw Centre.
Six days later (September 29th), the Spruce Kings will hold their home opener against the Chilliwack Chiefs and then entertain the Merritt Centennials the next evening (September 30th).
Friday home games for the Spruce Kings will take place at 7 o’clock from the Kopar Memorial Arena while Saturday start times have been bumped up to 6pm.
24 of the 26 Spruce Kings home games fall on a Friday or a Saturday – just two occur on Wednesday, both in November.
The BCHL regular season concludes on March 31st. The playoffs will begin a week later on April 5th.
