PG hosting another pop-up market, this time in College Heights

If you missed out on last week’s market at the CN Centre parking lot, a smaller event is taking place in College Heights on Thursday night.

It is being presented by Simply Beautiful Jewelry Design and is being held at the Chatters Southridge Avenue location from 5-9 pm.

Organiser, Patti Perrault told MyPGNow.com that holding the market in this area of the city fills a void.

“College Heights really doesn’t have a lot in the way of markets. We found the night markets work well because no one is working, it is not on a weekend when people are away and this is going to be on a Thursday evening as a lot of people will pop by either before they go home or pop out for dinner. There is such a large customer base.”

Over 20 vendors are expected to attend including the White Goose Bistro and Frozen Paddle Ice Cream.

“This one in College Heights is just in a parking lot. Chatters are going to have men’s haircuts for donation to support a local charity. It’s just a good feel-good community event,” said Perrault.

Perrault adds plans are in the works to hold similar events in the Hart and Canada Games Plaza later this summer.

“We hope to go to a spot in the Hart. Something where we can pop down at Canada Games Plaza – smaller locations where we can keep it on a smaller scale.”
