Bush party takes tragic turn

Two dead bodies, a male and female, were pulled from a car in Kwitzil Lake Sunday afternoon.
Corporal Craig Douglass says RCMP made the recovery with the help of the force’s Underwater Recovery Team.
He says the investigation began Sunday morning at around 4:00 am after they received a report a car had gone into Kwitzil Lake, better known as Gravel Pit Lake, just off Highway 16, 42 kilometres west of Prince George.
Douglass says the lake was the scene of a large party with attendance in the hundreds. No word yet on how the car ended up in the lake or who the deceased are.
Douglass says the investigation is ongoing.
