The City of Prince George will be closing a section of University Way in August.
This is for the Shane Creek Bridge Deck Resurfacing project.
The road will be closed between Foothills and the entrance to the University, and the walking trail running under the bridge may be intermittently closed.
During construction, the University will still be accessible by Tyner Boulevard.
The section is expected to be closed between August 8th and September 1st.
According to the city, the existing deck has reached the end of its useful life.
The project has a budget of $1.2 million, and is funded by the General Infrastructure Reinvestment Fund.
University Way will be closed from Aug. 8 to Sept. 1 while we repair the Shane Creek bridge. The road will be closed from Foothills to the UNBC entrance.
Route 15 UNBC/Downtown will be impacted. More info on service impacts and trip planning: https://t.co/6R7n2Z2WzN. pic.twitter.com/KWwlwJQa6Z
