Canada plays its second game Wednesday (5 AM PT) against the Republic of Ireland in Perth, Australia.
Ireland lost its opener 1-0 to Australia.

American Brian Harman has the second-round clubhouse lead at The Open which is taking place at Royal Liverpool.
Harman is at 10-under-132 following scores of 67 Thursday and 65 today (Friday).
Canadian Corey Conners will make the 36-hole cut at 2-over while another Canadian, Nick Taylor, will miss the cut at 6-over.

First baseman Jared Young of P.G. did not play in the Chicago Cubs’ 7-2 Thursday night loss against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The 28-year-old Young is batting .171 (6-for-35) in 13 games in a Chicago uniform with one homer and five RBIs.
The (45-51) Cubs are hosting the (44-53) Cardinals again today (11:20 AM PT) and Young is not in Chicago’s starting lineup.

Prince George Track Club sprinter Adam Sieben is part of the Canadian NACAC (Northern American Central American and Caribbean) U18 team that competes this weekend in Costa Rica.
The 17-year-old Sieben will race in the 100 and 200 metres.
